I do wonder what that conversation about the age of consent would look like. Is the current average age in our country adequate and what the arguments for change would be. Teaching consent the correct way will help decrease sexual assaults and unwanted sexual activities but I am not sold that it will decrease sexual activity significantly.
When more school systems get beyond abstinence education, a genuine conversation will be initiated about what is happening sexually with our children.
